Re: Default date overlays not working

I had restarted BI5 several times prior trying to get the overlays to work. Just sharing recent experience. Added 2 cams to BI. One started showing time overlay and another didn't despite same settings. Nothing helped including reboots. Then I typed %x %X in the upper text field of the 2nd cam Sett...

Re: Camera overlays in MP4

why are you manually managing clip storage? I think we are talking about different use cases. For example, I'm not certain that keeping all recorded files forever or deleting files after a certain time lapse is the best approach to any use case. Besides, recorded files aren't only destined for stor...

Re: Batch convert BVR to MP4

why would I need to play the exported clips using BI? For me the point of exporting the clips was to play them using other players on other platforms. (??) Each use case is different. Some export files to MP4 to present them as video evidence. Anyway, BI has an embedded video player that plays seve...

Re: Camera overlays in MP4

I'm having trouble understanding the use case for exporting BVR clips. The workaround is to uncheck the Cut/Combine option in the recording tab. That way each event is it's own bvr. To trim unrelated footage, while keeping relevant to your purpose events sequence in one video. It also allows to cut...

Re: Batch convert BVR to MP4

I have copied a large number of .bvr files from the BlueIris file system over to a backup drive. What I would like to do now is to convert them all to mp4 so that they can be viewed outside BlueIris. Is there a way to do this? Try adding your current drive & folder as Saved location in BI setti...

Any progress on that? Do BI devs ever explained, why the package doesn't allow to trim & export created by it BVR files in BVR format? Would be nice to hear their reply and logic if any.

Re: Batch convert BVR to MP4

I've attached a converter script Did you try to playback exported by your script MP4 in the latest BI version? I export fragments of BVR clips to MP4 using BI5.x x64 own encoder with 100% quality in H264/AAC with Zero frame latency in 2-passes. The source BVRs are from analog cam and standalone mic...

Re: RTSP Baseline

Along similar lines, I wanted to ask if BI can decode RTSTS secure stream from cams? If not directly, is there a workaround?

Re: BI 5 Feature suggestion thread

set my cameras options to display the date, time, and camera name. Agreed, its the solution when acceptable for various reasons. Not acceptable examples: analog cameras without timestamp, or in the TimG's post above, or need uniform timestamp on all cams. Paramount purpose of any surveillance - a t...

Re: BI 5 Feature suggestion thread

I gave them the complete BVR file, as well as the short clip of the problem saved as MP4, and both show the time and date. They were quite happy with this. Important note: JURISDICTION!!! It all depends on local laws and practices. In your example: the police needs your footage to identify, apprehe...
