Re: Blue Iris skips events

I'm running BI 5.3.3.6 x64 dated 10/8/2020. This was a fresh install on physical hardware (on fresh O/S load, W10 Pro 1909), BI was originally installed on a Hyper-V guest. New platform is an 8-core AMD, 32G RAM, 240G SSD for C:, 4T 7.2K RPM volume for data. All cameras were freshly attached - nothi...

Re: Blue Iris skips events

Ugh! This very thing! Every spider, ant, or fly that crosses the screen is captured, but the delivery guy walking up to the porch and putting the package there doesn't show up. When we open the door and get the package, it's recorded. Just happened this evening - our neighbor brought a package that ...

Re: Trying to get 2nd NIC to work...

I'm just going to throw something out there.. you CAN do this with one NIC and one switch. This will confirm where the issue is, possibly a bad NIC or cable between BI and the second switch. You know the primary NIC works because you can get to the BI server from your PC. Let's say this network is 1...

Re: Substreams and Foscam R2

Now that I have sub-streams enabled on all the cameras, I'm down to 7% average CPU load with 7 cameras. There's a "but", however. Events are not triggering effectively. For example, if I walk OUT of the house, the front camera will trigger consistently, but when the delivery guy or mailman...

Re: Trying to get 2nd NIC to work...

Coming late to this party, but I have had this configuration working for some time, so posting a simplified network diagram for the benefit of others. The goal is to have cameras in an isolated network for security - no ability to "phone home". Blue Iris is "dual homed" with a NI...

Re: Audio on ANPVIZ 3MP Dome Cam

Finally got around to installing the 4M Camera on the front porch this weekend. I am able to pick up audio clearly when someone is standing below the camera on the porch, but when they are at the base of the stairs, the audio is faint and hard to discern if there is much background noise. that's abo...

Re: Substreams and Foscam R2

Halleluiah! Switching to the rtsp configuration but connecting via http solved this for me. My AMD 8-core system is now down to 9-11% CPU and 1.15G RAM with 7 cameras, including 3 new 5M units with audio. Prior to this, configurations would cause the Foscam cameras to "blank" and refresh e...

Re: Audio on ANPVIZ 3MP Dome Cam

Hi StuntFlyer - I installed the first ANPVIZ 5M camera today - great video quality. Audio picks up the sound of the PTZ motors when moving and then just a continuous rumbling like a motorboat idling. I'll have to putter around with the settings and see what I can find. I did move BlueIris from a Hyp...

Re: Ethernet Network

Keep in mind that the theoretical limits are just that.. a lot will depend on the ability of your switch to handle the load with multiple ports streaming. The switch in a typical router probably can't handle it, but a dedicated switch could. I have a Cisco enterprise switch for my cameras and I can'...

Re: Audio on ANPVIZ 3MP Dome Cam

I am about to pull the trigger on the ANPVIZ 5MP PTZ Dome with 2-way audio. Glad to hear you are pleased with the video quality. Came here to figure out whether audio can work at all, as my other cameras with 1-way don't seem to do anything but hiss, as you've experienced. I'm on a Hyper-V host but ...
