In settings you used to be able to choose your opening page, can't you do that anymore?

Re: How to deal with moths triggering?

AI would help if you don't use it, however with flying insects AI will still sometimes classify them as people due to their relative size and shape when their the right distance from the lens. I have a few Dahuas with the IRs turned off as well since their low light detection is so good and that ten...

No posts for two days?

Just curious if this site is working as it's showing me there has been no activity for two days which is strange.

Re: Setting Up A Dead Zone

Yes, reversing it should get you closer. There is Smart Sentry AI that is integrated into BI however then pics from your motion detection are sent to a cloud server for processing, there is also a small subscription cost. Whereas the DeepStack and AI Tools combo are completely local and free but mor...

Re: Setting Up A Dead Zone

If you want motion alerts even while people are home, I'd look at DeepStack and AITools for person detection to eliminate false alerts. Re: Lost my HD w/ver 3.66 should I upgrade?

I would take that as the perfect time to get the latest version installed. That would mean purchasing the software again or at least a support agreement I'd send support an email asking what you'd need to buy to install v5 since you purchased v3 last. I started early in the v4 lifespan so I don't ha...

Re: Burn Timestamp into Video

Needing to Encode to record Overlays is not longer true. BI was modified a while back in regards to Overlays, I think around 5.2.8.1. BI now includes overlays with Direct-to-disc (d2d). The overlay is separate from the video, but stored in the bvr file as Metadata. When the d2d is played back, the ...

Re: BI 5 Upgrade for iOS

Push notification images were fixed after the new mobile app and the BI server version that came out at the same time as the mobile app update. The newer BI server version 2.5.3.x now supports using the intel GPU offloading with h.265 streams to shrink the storage footprint of each recording so you ...

Re: Burn Timestamp into Video

Blue Iris can overlay the time or other info into the recording but it requires direct-to-disk to be turned off which in turn raises the Blue Iris CPU load significantly. Doing it at the camera level as the others have said is the best method if the camera supports it.
