Re: Using a tethered phone for Blue Iris network connection

I know with Chrome Remote Desktop you have to add the 'App' from within Chrome. When you enable remote connections you establish a PIN. Thats the only configuration on the "remote" computer. Them from the installed 'App' on your controlled machine you select which computer you want to conn...

Re: Dell PowerEdge T40 server

I haven't tried that specifically but am using server hardware now and am completely happy. Back in the day I used a Dell tower server for a business (not NVR) need and was pretty happy with the build and cost - though I wasn't paying. That sounds like plenty of CPU power and the option for a video ...

Can you check the configuration screens in the respective web apps for each camera?
Yeah that should be a setting in your camera(s). Looks like your main stream FPS as well as the keys are all pretty poor.

Re: Using a tethered phone for Blue Iris network connection

Thoughts on installing something like Chrome Remote Desktop, Anydesk, or TeamViewer to have remote control access to the Blue Iris PC? Something like this might be the next best option, a bit of a hassle especially if you want prompt access, but it would/could ultimately work. I don't know for cert...

Re: FPS Drops

I think I would try the method of putting the server on the same vlan. That SHOULD be minimal cost - just time. You have tried so many options I think the only constant is the vlan hop through the Palo. As strong as my bias is against them, it certainly should be able to handle passing this traffic ...

Re: Is there an upgrade available to BI5 from BI4 ?

I haven't done it myself but according to the site, any support renewal purchased now is for BI5 and includes 4 -> 5 upgrade. Capture.PNG I am not quite sure what the difference is between the $29.95 extension versus the $35.95 one: If you have a clue could you please let me know? Thanks, Joe M. Ex...

Re: Version 5 on Windows 7 PC

Microsoft still permits free upgrades from Win7 to Win10 assuming your Win7 license is legit. They have intentionally not shut this ability down even after the time window expired because they'd rather have the Windows 10 users than the end of life systems out there. Not knowing your hardware, thoug...

I'm giving her all she's got, Captain! But yeah, interesting on the Webinars that occasionally the forum is mentioned when people ask incredibly specific and detailed questions that pertain to their environment (and have no place in a webinar for the masses). It's been said that the people "ove...

Re: BlueIris Mobile App

I don't use geofencing either but in looking at my Android device... it appears by default that location permissions are not granted to the app and requires you to set it. This does get a bit tricky because there are menu differences between stock android and what many device manufacturers tweak. Th...
