screen captures show yesterday and current captures

Recently my captures being sent out as alerts started getting messed up. I have my trigger set up to take a screen capture on first trigger. Recently it started sending me the 2 captures as it always had, but the first one is from yesterday, the second one is correct and from today. How can this be?...

Re: "No signal" errors?

I have RJ45 connectors but no way to route cabling due to the cameras locations. I was lucky enough to be able to get power to them.

Re: "No signal" errors?

My cameras are wifi connected. When they crap out, they crap out in both BI5 and Amcrest Pro. Cycling power is the only thing that brings them back.

Re: "No signal" errors?

I've been suffering from that same issue from day one 3 years ago, but its not a BI issue. I have Amcrest cameras and I've had BI4 and BI5, I had to put WIFI plugs on all of my cameras and I automatically cycle power on them 2-3 times a day. I've even gone as far as putting a WIFI repeater withing 1...

Re: anyone ever see a strange login in your log file?

I have an Xfinity router that has some sort of protection. I get notifications that it blocked outside attempts and it gives me info on the IP address where it originated. I’ll try and screen capture the next warning that I get. It happens almost every day.

Re: anyone ever see a strange login in your log file?

HeneryH, I’m not sure what to think about what I saw, I should have looked closer before I deleted and blocked it. It did however show up in the log file, I’m not sure if that’s confirmation that someone was actually in, or if that was just the user name that someone used as they tried to log in 🤷‍♂...

Re: BI5 License Key

This may be off base, but I had an issue when I upgraded from BI4 to BI5. Turns out I had to enter the license key for BI4 when it asked, then it continued on with the upgrade. The details are foggy in my mind, but I'm absolutely sure that I had to enter my BI4 license to continue.

anyone ever see a strange login in your log file?

Almost every day I see attempts to hit my server, Xfinity blocks them and I have Norton running in addition to the Xfinity protection. Almost every one is from out of the US, but there is an occasional US attempt. I only have one user configured in my BI5...me. The other day I looked at the login fi...

Re: Help configuring wifi camera

I had a similar issue with my Amcrest camera. I thought sure that the camera was bad, as soon as I unplugged the ethernet cable I lost the camera. I went as far as decommissioning the camera and just using my second camera. One day I pulled out that supposed bad camera and started playing with it. I...

Re: Burn Timestamp into Video

I agree with Matts1984, I've found that the timestamp in BI is only for your screen. My Amcrest cameras have overlays built into them that will burn it in. I read on some forums that people disable the overlays in the camera to cut down on wireless network traffic, personally I didn't see any differ...
