Re: Help - poor Wifi camera performance

Poor wifi? I stuck one of these on my roof attached to the chimney. I have about an acre of 10/10 coverage on my 12 outdoor wifi cameras. I think the guy 3 blocks away can pick up the signal :) https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Wireless-MU-MIMO-Gigabit-EAP225-Outdoor/dp/B07953S2FD/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&a...

Re: 30X IP focus calibration software

You can calibrate the focus in Yuchengs with a simple cgi command to them from a web browser. The camera then runs a program from the firmware to zoom in multiple focal lengths and check opitmail focus for it and store it. I run 5 Yuchengs along with 7 other cameras here and found them better then t...

Re: [BUG] RTSP Wyze Cam v2 ... anyone have it working properly?

One thing to also do with the Wyze cams is make sure to assign it a static IP address in your router right away off its MAC address, Even before you set it up in BI. I have noticed that the Wyze will at times try to randomly change there own address to a conflicting one in the router and then they d...

Re: [BUG] RTSP Wyze Cam v2 ... anyone have it working properly?

Wyze has a rtsp version that is for people having drops and connection problems. This is the version I am using with no problems at all with it. Unfortunately Wyze has it semi hidden on their site and I do not have the link for it handy. It doesn't have a version number on the file like the others d...

Re: [BUG] RTSP Wyze Cam v2 ... anyone have it working properly?

Ive had my Wyze running for over a month in BI5 no problems. Only once did it lockup and I noticed it ha reset its IP to my router as the same IP as of another device that was connected. Rebooted Wyze and its running flawless again for a week. I may give it a static IP next time I log in to the rout...

Re: Critter Cams

I am just using the built in IR of the cameras. These cameras have like 8 or 9 hi intensity IR leds in them. And they adjust according to what the cameras zoomed at with the lens. I used to have those I2 volt IR spotlights back when I had my old Foscams that never had more then a 30 foot range. Ive ...

Re: Critter Cams

Heres some night examples from my Yucheng cams. Overall I would say I can get 150 yards of decent night vision easy with the built in IR spots on them. They are 2 tiered, a set of them is on all the time for close stuff, and once past a zoom range on the camera the high setting IR spots come on then...

Re: Critter Cams

I do a live raccoon watching show nightly (twitch and youtube and periscope) with my 12 cam BI setup. Best camera of the 12 Ive found is the Yucheng 5mp wireless ptz I added recently. it has a 20x optical zoom with awesome night vision. I pretty much catch every critter in a 300 foot radius of my ho...
