Re: Recommended hardware configuration for 43 cameras

fwiw I'm running a 2950X in my desktop. I have 12 4k cameras connected to BI (I use substreams) and my cpu utilization is 10%. I use my computer for video and digital imaging editing as well as for work (large Excel workbooks). I am using a 2080 TI video card and 64gb of ram (12gb used as a virtual ...

Re: NTP clocks and LAN disconnected from the internet

Thanks for the reply Matt - yes they are all set for direct to disk recording I'm running BI on my desktop machine, an overclocked 2950X Threadripper with 64gb of memory installed. Usage on BI's indicator used to show 11-12% usage. Now it pretty much sits at 10. I really don't have much of a load on...

Re: NTP clocks and LAN disconnected from the internet

Hi TimG Thanks for starting this thread. I've been meaning to do something like this for a while (install a time server client on my pc). You got me to thinking today and in literally 5 minutes I had a solution. I have a couple of Synology NAS' on my network. With 2 keystrokes I had my NTP :) With a...

Re: What did I miss ???

Problem solved :)

I went back to BI to see if I could find anything there. My camera is not listed under the camera types in the PTZ/Control folder but there are 4 Dahua's. I started trying them one at a time. It seems "Dahua New V4" is the winner (whatever that is!).

Re: What did I miss ???

Thanks Henry. I spent this morning going over every menu item through the browser. Some things I wasn't sure of so I changed them, saved and refreshed the camera and checked on BI for any change. If none I undid my changes (do no harm). Nothing I could find made any difference :( I still can zoom an...

What did I miss ???

I recently installed 2 Dahua Starlight Bullet Cameras - IPC-HFW2831T-ZAS-S2. One I am running off a POE+ switch and all is great. The other I am powering with a separate 12 volt supply. I find I can not zoom / focus with the second one through BI5. If I log into the camera I can control zoom & f...

Re: 30X IP focus calibration software

I hope it wasn't a Yucheng! I am stuck with a 20X PTZ that I never could get working for more than a few days. Eventually it just died. Dead. No Heartbeat or Brainwaves. It was not discoverable on my Ubiquiti network. I could not ping it. Yucheng's help desk was terrible. I'm sure the language diffe...
